Finance · GA Daily PostNEW YORK, N.Y. — Meridian Pay Ltd. today launched instant cross-border payouts across 24 countries, allowing freelancers, contractors, and marketplace sellers to receive funds in minutes instead of the two to five business days common with traditional transfers.
The service uses a network of local settlement partners to move money domestically on each end, avoiding much of the delay and cost associated with conventional correspondent banking.
“Getting paid should not be the slowest part of doing business globally,” said Tomas Vela, head of product at Meridian Pay. “We built this for the millions of people whose income crosses a border.”
The company plans to expand coverage to more than 40 countries by the end of the year.
